Ford’s Recall Causes Problems
Ford has recently started the process of recalling over 1.4 million vehicles, including the 2014-2018 Fusion and the 2014-2018 Lincoln MKZ, because steering wheel bolts could potentially loosen, causing the steering wheel to detach from the steering column. There have been at least 10 incidents of Ford Steering Wheels coming loose.

Ford Steering Wheel Negligence
According to documents Automotive News reported on, Ford learned of steering wheel issues in mid 2015, but concluded it, “did not identify any trend”, which led to the company closing out the internal inquiry without action.
